Ludhiana, October 18, 2026: Shri Ram Leela, organized by Preet Natraj Dramatic Club to showcase India’s rich culture and glorious heritage, was inaugurated today in the South Assembly constituency by prominent social worker Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh and Krishan Kumar Bawa, Coordinator, AICC (OBC) and In-charge of Himachal Pradesh, by cutting the ribbon.
On this occasion, the chief organizer of the event, Bibi Manjit Kaur Saroye; Gurnam Singh Kaler, President of Bhai Lalo Ji Sewa Society; Amit Kumar, youth leader; and other distinguished personalities were specially present. Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh also distributed shawls among needy women on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh and Krishan Kumar Bawa said that Shri Ram Leela depicts the life and divine acts of Lord Shri Ram. Lord Shri Ram is known as Maryada Purushottam Ram because he upheld the highest ideals of morality, duty, discipline, and righteousness throughout his life.

They said that instead of accepting the throne, Lord Shri Ram willingly accepted 14 years of exile to honour the words of his father, King Dashrath. Mata Sita and Shri Lakshman also accompanied him and fulfilled their duties. Meanwhile, his younger brother Bharat placed Lord Shri Ram’s sandals on the throne and administered the kingdom in his absence.
They further stated that these episodes offer valuable lessons for our lives today. We need to reflect upon, understand, and incorporate these teachings into our daily lives. In today’s society, respect for relationships is gradually declining, which has become a major cause of unhappiness and distress.
They emphasized that the divine life and teachings of Lord Shri Ram show us the right path to living. Ram Leela is not merely a theatrical performance but a source of valuable life lessons that everyone should understand and adopt in their lives.
