Chandigarh, November 3, 2026: Rumours circulating on social media about senior Punjab BJP leader and former minister Master Mohan Lal joining the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have been dismissed by his son, Puneet Sharma, who termed the reports false.
The speculation about Master Mohan Lal switching political allegiance gained traction on social media on Tuesday morning.
Responding to the viral reports, Puneet Sharma clarified that his father had taken no decision to leave the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and join AAP. He asserted that Master Mohan Lal remained committed to the BJP and would continue working for the party.
Sharma also appealed to party workers and leaders not to believe or circulate unverified reports about his father’s alleged political move.
The clarification comes amid speculation over a possible political shift by the senior BJP leader, which his family has now categorically denied.
