Libertarian thinkers James Dale Davidson and William Rees-Mogg, in their book "The Sovereign Individual" in 1997, had predicted that in the future some individuals would become so wealthy and powerful that they could not be controlled by states and governments. States and governments would be left as corporations and clients.

Such individuals would establish large technological and commercial firms whose income would often be more than the total GDP of countries. The Chief Executive Officers of these firms would influence the policies and administration of states and governments. They would invent new techniques to run governance.

The local and economic sectors would also be seen working under their influence. Apart from others, we can see the beginning of such a process in America, which is called the most powerful democracy in the world, Britain, which is called the oldest democracy, and India, which is called the largest democracy.

Elon Musk and Associates:

We are seeing trailers of such a phenomenon in America, UK, India and other countries. In America, Elon Musk has become the world's first trillionaire wealthy person. He has accumulated so much wealth that he has become capable of influencing democracy not only in America but in many other countries of the world. He has proved through his money power in America that democracy can be bought and today it is up for sale all over the world.

He gave $280 million as a donation in the 2024 US presidential elections for the election campaign of the current President Donald Trump. Similarly, he showered money to change the direction of public opinion in various states. As a result, he became an influential person of the elected President Donald Trump and the American administration, whose direct influence on the President and the administration is being seen. First, he was made the head of the Department of Efficiency (DOGE), in which he dictatorially laid off thousands of government posts. No one raised any question. Now he is the head of the Political Action Committee, which has the freedom to take unlimited donations from American wealthy people, who play a big role in changing the course of elections. For the American mid-term elections, this committee is spending more than $100 million to ensure the victory of the Republicans.

Elon Musk has become the owner of dictatorial power in America, who has an important place in determining the policies of the state, for which he is not answerable to anyone. Why is this so? He has acquired a monopoly over global satellites, AI, social media, digital Tesla vehicles, identification of military locations, etc. At this time, he has come close to becoming the "Sovereign Individual" as estimated by James Dale Davidson and Rees-Mogg.

Similarly, in the Trump administration, a wealthy group including Vice President J.D. Vance, billionaire Secretary Howard Lutnick, multi-billionaire Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and their right-wing media backers have full control over the policy-making system.

The Buying:

Although people of all nations are often seen saying that they cannot be bought, their conscience is not so dead that they can be bought for votes, but the buyers are very clever, arrogant, artistic and powerful. In India, the Aam Aadmi Party has gone many steps ahead of even the BJP, which leads the NDA government at the Centre, and has crossed all limits in the whole country to influence voters through advertising, TV channels, print and electronic media, freebies, and commercial companies. For this purpose, they distributed the spoils of Rajya Sabha memberships and ministerial posts to the wealthy from whom they received heaps of money.

If we say that Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani have come close to the capability of being the "Sovereign Individual" in the Indian political system, then there is no exaggeration in it. How the rain of money influences voters during elections is not hidden from anyone in Indian politics. Such wealthy people who shower money are seen directly interfering in determining the policies of the government. This same phenomenon is found not only in India but all over the world.

The British Scene:
It is not hidden from anyone in Britain why the Labour Party lost the 2010 parliamentary elections? Because it could not shower money like the Conservative Party. It lagged far behind in the field of online advertising. In 2005, because they had showered money in the elections, they had incurred a debt of 25 million pounds. Therefore, due to the uneven situation, they could only spend 8 million pounds in the 2010 elections, while the Tories spent 17 million. This is why they lost.

Everyone knows that money proves to be the most effective helper in winning elections. In Britain, democracy is being seen being sold openly. To stop this, the British Election Commission formed a committee under the leadership of Gordon Brown and tried to set a limit on donations by the wealthy, but this matter is not yet seen to be reaching any conclusion.

To stop the capture of democracy through money in the form of donations by the wealthy, in December 2025, Britain and 59 other countries approached the UNO to set a limit on donations in democracy. In this regard, Canada fixed the rate of donation to political parties per person or company annually at 930, France at 6400 for parliamentary elections and 3900 for the presidential campaign, Italy at 85,600 pounds. Britain fixed it at 500,000 pounds, while in September, Stella Creasy and 63 MPs recommended 100,000 pounds. But in the present era, due to the race to establish oneself as a "Sovereign Individual" in every country, such recommendations have no value left.

In Britain, two crypto-currency billionaires Ben Delo and J.P. Morgan have created a stir in British politics by giving 72 million pounds as a donation to the Reform Party, whose head is Nigel Farage. Both of them want to end the monopoly of the Labour and Conservative parties in Britain. They want to establish their own monopoly in British democratic politics. It has been proven that Nigel Farage and his Reform Party have worn the cloak of representing entrepreneurs, businessmen, traders and the common people. In reality, they are in the business of winning elections with the money of wealthy individuals. It is also surprising that in a country like Canada, Shopify Corporation head Tobi Lutke is demanding more value for the vote of the wealthy for their dominance in democracy instead of one person one vote.

According to US President Abraham Lincoln, in a democracy, the government is not going to remain of the people, by the people and for the people. Nor, according to President Ronald Reagan, is the government going to remain a car driven by the people and representing their rights. US Senator Bernie Sanders has warned the whole world that the problem of oligarchy is not just an American issue.

Billionaire individuals are not only buying American politics but are making the right-wing powerful with money all over the world, including Britain's Reform Party. Democracy means one person one vote. Wealthy people cannot be allowed to buy government in any part of the world.

But in the midst of the wealthy, the voice of the common man has no meaning. To win the American mid-term elections, President Trump, on the strength of the wealthy, has announced that he will give $5000 help to every adult person if they win the Republicans with a majority in the US Congress and Senate.

In reality, wealthy individuals have taken off their veil and are dancing to the policy of 'Saam, Daam, Dand, Bhed' to capture the political, economic and geographical system of the whole world. According to Yarvin and Land, they want to negate democracy, egalitarianism and liberalism and establish business as the owner in every country and in the world.
