Parvinder Singh Jhotta’s Killing Shocks Punjab, Grewal Demands Strictest Action: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan
Ludhiana, 14 October 2026: Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan, National Vice President of the Bhartiya Rashtrawadi Party (BRP) and State In-Charge of Punjab Pradesh, has strongly condemned the reported killing of Parvinder Singh Jhotta in Mansa. He expressed deep anger and grief over the incident and demanded strict action against all those found responsible.
In a press statement issued here today, Grewal said the incident had raised serious concerns about the law-and-order situation in Punjab. He said that people working against drugs should be protected and encouraged rather than left to face threats and violence.
He said that Parvinder Singh Jhotta had been raising his voice against the drug menace and working to protect Punjab’s youth from addiction. His death was a matter of deep concern for society and highlighted the urgent need for effective action against drug-related crimes.
Grewal demanded a fair, impartial and time-bound investigation into the case. He said the police should examine CCTV footage, eyewitness statements and other relevant evidence to establish the facts and ensure that everyone found responsible was brought to justice.
He also called for an investigation into any possible drug-related links to the killing and demanded that any negligence by the police or administration be thoroughly examined. Appropriate action should be taken against officials found responsible for any failure in their duties.
Grewal said, “Punjab cannot win the war against drugs through speeches and slogans alone. The government must take strict action against drug suppliers, traffickers and criminal networks. Those who raise their voices against drugs must feel safe, and criminals must understand that nobody is above the law.”
He demanded the strongest punishment permitted by law for those convicted, proper support and protection for the victim’s family and effective security measures for people working against drugs.
Grewal further said that the fight against drugs must remain a serious and continuous mission rather than a political slogan. He urged the Punjab Government and the police administration to take immediate steps to strengthen law and order and dismantle drug trafficking networks.
Grewal said, “The killing of Parvinder Singh Jhotta is deeply tragic. The truth must come out, the guilty must be punished and the family must receive justice. Punjab’s youth deserve a future free from drugs and fear. The government must prove its commitment through firm action, accountability and concrete results.”
