Need to do more for the dignity of each woman: Pope Francis
Chandigarh, November 25, 2020: Pope Francis who on Tuesday said the countries with female leaders have handled the Covid-19 pandemic better than others today stressed the need for making more initiative for the dignity of the women.
The Jesuit Pope who has the following of 18.8 million people on Twitter acknowledged the violence against women that is prevalent in many parts of the world.
Giving the message of World peace, Pope reiterated that there is a need to empower women if we want a 'Better World’ that will be a ‘Peaceful Home’.

Notably, in the New Year sermon, Pope Francis has stated that women should be fully included in the decision-making process of the Vatican.
Following his statement, he had also appointed Francesca Di Giovanni, 66, the first woman to senior diplomatic Vatican Post in the Secretariat of State. Secretariat of State is a male-dominated Vatican center.
Pope had also promised to appoint more women in the decision-making job of the Vatican.
