Haryana braces for rainfall in 6 districts, farmers advised caution

Chandigarh, May 10, 2025 — The weather has once again taken a turn in Haryana. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for light rainfall on May 10, 2025, in six districts of the state — Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, and Karnal.
According to the department, there is about a 25% chance of rainfall in these areas. Light drizzle is expected in some places, while others may experience moderate rain. Additionally, strong winds are also likely in certain regions.
Advice for Farmers:
The Meteorological Department has advised farmers to exercise caution during harvesting and storage of crops. Specifically, they are urged to keep crops like wheat and mustard in safe and secure locations.
Traffic and Safety:
The administration has issued special instructions to maintain smooth traffic flow in the affected districts. Vehicle drivers are advised to drive at slower speeds to avoid road accidents.
Given the forecast of light rainfall over the next few days, the weather department has appealed to the public to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
