Chandigarh, August 21, 2026: The Haryana Government has approved the establishment of nine new Sub-Health Centres and the upgradation of an existing Sub-Health Centre into a Primary Health Centre (PHC), in a move aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure in rural and remote areas of the state.
Health Minister Arti Singh Rao said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved the expansion of Haryana’s rural healthcare network, with Nuh district getting seven of the nine new Sub-Health Centres.
The new centres in Nuh will be established in Ranika, Devla Nangli, Mahun, Gaudhola, Lafuri, Bared and Chila villages. One Sub-Health Centre each will also be opened in Bhandor village of Rewari district and Mochiwali village of Sirsa district.
Meanwhile, the existing Sub-Health Centre at Ransika village in Gurugram district will be upgraded to a Primary Health Centre.
Arti Singh Rao said the expansion is aimed at ensuring that quality healthcare services reach residents in even the most remote parts of Haryana.
She said the seven new centres in Nuh would improve access to maternal and child healthcare, routine immunisation and primary medical treatment for local residents.
The upgradation of the Ransika facility to a PHC will provide rural residents with better access to doctors, basic diagnostic services and round-the-clock primary emergency care, the minister said.
The move is also expected to reduce the need for residents of rural areas to travel to larger towns and cities for essential medical services.
The Health Minister said the decision reflects the state government’s continued focus on strengthening grassroots healthcare infrastructure and bringing essential medical services closer to rural communities.
