2 Punjab IAS Among 12 Officers Empanelled for Joint Secretary-Level Posts at Centre

A total of 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers have been empanelled for appointment as Joint Secretary or Joint Secretary-equivalent posts at the Centre, with two officers from the Punjab cadre featuring in the list.
As per an official notification issued on April 8, Gauri Parasher Joshi (2009 batch) and Sumeet Kumar Jarangal (2009 batch) have been included from the Punjab cadre.
Among the empanelled officers, six belong to the 2009 batch under the “initial leftover” category, including A. Muthu Kumar (Jharkhand), Gauri Parasher Joshi (Punjab), N. Venkatesh (Tamil Nadu), Priyanka Das (Madhya Pradesh), Rathod Sandeep Rewaji (Tripura), and Rohan Chand Thakur (Himachal Pradesh).
Additionally, two officers from the 2008 batch—Kajal and Saumya Agarwal (both Uttar Pradesh cadre)—have also been empanelled.
Under the “first review” category, two officers—S. Tejaswi Naik (Madhya Pradesh) and Sumeet Kumar Jarangal (Punjab)—have been cleared.
Further, senior officers including Hrishikesh B. Yashod (2006 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre) and Rajesh Prabhakar Patil (2005 batch, Odisha cadre) have also been empanelled under different review categories.
