3-Day MY Bharat Leadership Bootcamp inaugurated at CCT Landran

SAS Nagar (Punjab), September 1, 2026: MY Bharat S.A.S. Nagar organised a three-day residential leadership training bootcamp for 35 young participants at Chandigarh College of Technology, Landran, from August 24 to 26, 2026.
The programme aimed to equip students with leadership skills, entrepreneurial thinking, effective communication, career awareness, emotional intelligence and a strong sense of civic responsibility. The bootcamp began with an inaugural ceremony, followed by icebreaker and team-formation activities to encourage interaction and teamwork among participants.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr Palki Sahib Kaur, Director-Principal, Chandigarh College of Technology, Landran, and Dr Gagandeep Bhullar, Director, Student Welfare, CGC Landran, in the presence of Mohit Kumar Saini, Deputy Director, MY Bharat, SAS Nagar. Dr Palki Sahib Kaur delivered the welcome address, while Dr Gagandeep Bhullar encouraged the students to actively participate in the sessions and focus on learning, personal growth and leadership development. Vijendra Singh Joon, former DIG, CRPF and former Army Major, also attended the inaugural programme and shared his experience with the participants.
The first day featured sessions on “What Makes a Leader,” entrepreneurship and career guidance, along with a meditation session aimed at promoting self-awareness, inner balance and mindful leadership. Students also participated in a sustainable development poster-making activity.
On the second day, participants attended sessions on “Understanding Government: Structure and Public Service,” cyber hygiene and safe use of social media, financial literacy and emotional intelligence in leadership. The sessions focused on responsible citizenship, digital safety, protection of personal information, financial awareness, self-regulation, empathy and informed decision-making.
A key highlight of the third day was an educational visit to the Punjab Legislative Assembly, where the participants gained an understanding of legislative functioning and democratic processes. Sessions on communication, listening, clarity, public speaking and persuasion, along with a Youth Parliament, provided practical exposure to parliamentary procedures and democratic dialogue.
The bootcamp concluded with an experience-sharing and feedback session, followed by the closing ceremony.
