Chandigarh, May 20, 2026 — Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced free travel for students appearing in the NEET examination in all Punjab Roadways buses on June 20, 21 and 22.
Sharing the announcement on X, the Chief Minister said many students from poor families face financial difficulties and often do not even have enough money to pay bus fare to reach their examination centres.
He stated that the decision was taken after AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal recently interacted with NEET aspirants, during which several students requested help regarding travel expenses.
As per the announcement, students appearing for the NEET examination scheduled on June 21 can travel free of cost in Punjab Roadways buses by simply showing their admit cards. No ticket fare will be charged from them during the three-day period.
The Punjab Government said the move aims to support economically weaker students and ensure that no aspirant faces difficulty in reaching examination centres because of transportation costs.
In his message, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also extended his best wishes to the students and prayed for their success in the examination.
