Patiala's Tania Sodhi elected MLA Moncton North West in Canada

Brunswick (Canada), October 24, 2024:Tania Sodhi, a resident of Kaurjiwala village in Patiala, has won the Moncton North West Assembly seat in Brunswick province of Canada by defeating former Canadian Finance Minister Erin Steves by a huge margin in the election that was held on October 21.
Tania Sodhi is the daughter-in-law of Harinderpal Sharma Kaurjiwala, brother of farmer leader Dr.Darshan Pal. A mother of two, she is married to Advocate Naman Sharma.
Tania Sodhi has scripted a success story by becoming the first woman from South Asia to be elected to the New Brunswick Provincial Parliament. A realtor by profession, Sodhi reportedly moved to Canada around four years ago.
