Punjabi youth dies in Dubai road accident; only brother to two sisters

Sultanpur Lodhi (Kapurthala), August 3, 2025 – Tragedy has struck a family in Sultanpur Lodhi as 25-year-old Navjot Singh, a Punjabi youth working as a truck driver in Dubai, lost his life in a horrific road accident. The deceased was the only son of Shingara Singh, a Granthi Singh at a local Gurdwara, and the sole brother to two sisters.
Navjot, a resident of Rotary Chowk, Sultanpur Lodhi (Kapurthala), had moved to Dubai in November 2024 in search of better livelihood opportunities. He was employed as an oil tanker driver.
According to reports, the fatal accident occurred when his tanker overturned, resulting in his untimely death.
The heartbreaking news has sent shockwaves through the local community. The young man was unmarried, and his sudden demise has left the family shattered.At an age when the family had hoped to hear wedding bells, their home has been plunged into mourning.
Local residents and relatives have expressed deep sorrow over the incident and are urging the government to assist the family in bringing back the deceased’s body from Dubai for last rites.
