Railway cancels 8 passenger trains temporarily due to fog season
Ferozepur, December 2, 2025: To ensure safe and smooth railway operations during the fog season, the Ferozepur Division has temporarily cancelled eight passenger trains. The decision was made in view of reduced visibility and to maintain safe train movement.
According to the Railways, several passenger trains will remain cancelled for the specified period due to operational reasons. Train No. 74939 (Jalandhar City–Ferozepur Cantt) will be cancelled from December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026, while Train No. 74932 (Ferozepur Cantt–Jalandhar City) will remain cancelled from December 2, 2025 to March 1, 2026. Similarly, Train No. 74984 (Fazilka–Kotkapura) will not run from December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026, and Train No. 74981 (Kotkapura–Fazilka) will be cancelled between December 2, 2025 and March 1, 2026. Train No. 74920 (Jalandhar City–Hoshiarpur) will also remain off service from December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026, with its return direction Train No. 74923 (Hoshiarpur–Jalandhar City) cancelled from December 2, 2025 to March 1, 2026. Furthermore, Train No. 74987 (Bathinda–Fazilka) will be cancelled from December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026, and Train No. 74986 (Fazilka–Bathinda) from December 2, 2025 to March 1, 2026.
