Railway honours 18 employees with Safety Awards in Firozpur Division
Ferozepur, March 9, 2026: Eighteen railway employees from Firozpur Division were felicitated with Safety Awards for their outstanding dedication, alertness, and timely actions that contributed significantly to safe rail operations during January and February 2026.
The awards were presented in recognition of the employees’ vigilance, prompt decision-making, and unwavering commitment to railway safety, track maintenance, safe train running, and passenger security. The honourees, representing various departments across the division, demonstrated exceptional responsibility in preventing potential risks and ensuring smooth and secure train movements.
Among those recognised were Avdhesh Kumar Verma (Gateman), Ram Asra (Track Maintainer), Jasimpdar Singh (Keyman), Varinder Singh (Keyman), Manoj Kumar (Track Maintainer), Balbir Singh (Technician-I), Surjit Singh (Senior Technician), Sita Ram (Technician-I), Ram Hari Meena (Technician-I), Sahil Thakur (Technician-I), Shamshad Ali (Technician-II), Karanvir Singh (TTI), Gyanendra Kumar (ESM), Sunny Guher (Train Manager), Rahul Meena (Train Manager), Dharmendra Kumar (Station Superintendent), Rohit Singh (Train Manager), and Vikram Kumar (Train Manager).
Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar said the honours were both a tribute to the employees’ excellent performance and a source of motivation for the entire workforce. “These recognitions will encourage others in the division to remain vigilant and perform their duties with the same sense of responsibility,” he stated. “Firozpur Division remains fully committed to maintaining the highest safety standards in all future operations.”
The ceremony was attended by Senior Divisional Safety Officer Rohit Verma, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Bhupendra, Senior Divisional Signal & Telecommunication Engineer Jatinder Singh, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager/Freight Manu Garg, Senior Divisional Operating Manager Gurusharan Pathak, and several other senior officers.
