War Room meeting in Chandiarh: Apni Mandis to remain closed, no night curfew so far
Chandigarh, December 23, 2020: In a War Room Meeting presided over by Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, VP Singh Badnore today and decided to continue to keep Apni Mandis closed and to wait for night curfew.
As per the decisions taken, the decision to continue to keep Apni mandis closed has been taken in ivew of the risk of new strain of coronavirus coming to city and the decision for its opening will be taken in the Ist week of January, 2021.
In another decision, it was decided to wait and watch the situation a few more days before taking a final call on the matter.
The meeting was attended by Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator & Sh. Sanjay Kumar Beniwal, Director General of Police at Punjab Raj Bhawan. Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary Home, Sh. KK Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, UT & Deputy Commissioners of Mohali & Panchkula, Director-PGIMER, Director Principal (Officiating), GMCH & Director Health Services, GMSH-16 attended through Video Conferencing.
In the meeting, Covid patients cases were also reviewed and directions were issued to keep track of travelers from UK and to create awareness programme about the new garbage segregation arrangements.
