100 students visit National Martyrs Memorial, instil patriotic spirit through stories of sacrifice
Ferozepur, December 18, 2024: As part of a district-wide initiative to acquaint students with the National Martyrs Memorial and Retreat Ceremony at Hussainiwala, 100 girl students from Classes 9 to 12 of the School of Eminence, Ferozepur, visited the historic site on the second day of the campaign. The students were provided valuable insights into the lives and sacrifices of the martyrs, fostering a sense of patriotism and civic responsibility. The initiative was launched under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur, Deeptsikha Sharma.
Sharing further details, District Education Officer Munila Arora and Deputy District Education Officer Dr. Satinder Singh stated that this educational tour was designed to inspire students by exposing them to the heroic tales of national heroes. They emphasized that such visits not only instil patriotism but also help in shaping students into responsible citizens.
The students visited the Hussainiwala Shaheedi Memorial, followed by witnessing the Retreat Ceremony, which left a lasting impression on their young minds. The officers encouraged school heads across the district to organize similar tours for their students, ensuring they learn about the sacrifices made by the martyrs and experience the Retreat Ceremony firsthand.
On the occasion, Principal Rajesh Mehta and Vocational Lecturer Vishali Kamboj accompanied the students during the tour. The initiative was widely appreciated for its role in fostering patriotism and educating students about the invaluable contributions of the nation’s martyrs.
