  Amritsar, August 8, 2025: Former Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has made big announcement with regards to post of President of Rebel Akali Group.
  
  In a social media post, he said that he has learnt that his name and name of Satwant Kaur daughter of Shaheed Bhai Amrik Singh is being considered by five member committee. He said that he had a great respect for Satwant Kaur and hence his name should not be considered in comparison to her.
