Floods force cancellation of 58 trains; several others diverted and short-terminated in Jammu Division
Ferozepur, August 28, 2025: Rail traffic over the Jammu Division has been severely affected after heavy soil erosion and flash floods in the Chakki River forced authorities to suspend train movement. As a result, large-scale cancellations, diversions, and operational changes have been announced.
According to railway officials, 58 trains have been fully cancelled, 3 partially cancelled, 1 partially restored, and 5 fully restored. In addition, 3 trains have been diverted, 18 will originate from short destinations, and 46 will face short terminations.
Railways has advised passengers to check the status of their trains through the Rail Madad helpline (139) or the NTES app before commencing their journey.
