Chandigarh, February 8: In a significant administrative development, senior IAS officer Gurkirat Kirpal Singh has been assigned key departmental responsibilities after remaining without a major posting for several months.
He has been appointed Administrative Secretary, Social Security, Women and Child Development, and has also been given additional charge of the Departments of Industries and Commerce and Promotion of Information Technology Industry.
