Anandpur Sahib (Punjab), February 26, 2026: Ahead of the three-day Hola Mohalla festival from March 2 to March 4, 2026, Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) Arpit Shukla reviewed comprehensive security arrangements at Sri Anandpur Sahib to ensure a safe and seamless experience for the lakhs of devotees expected to attend.
Chairing a coordination meeting with DIG Rupnagar Range Nanak Singh and SSP Rupnagar Maninder Singh, the Special DGP directed foolproof planning, highlighting the division of the entire festival area into 12 sectors with a deployment of around 5,000 police personnel.
Advanced technology will play a key role in crowd management and security. Six drones will provide live aerial surveillance, while 200 CCTV cameras, including PTZ and ANPR systems, will monitor city approach roads and major congregation points.
For the first time, a three-layer barricading system will be used at Charan Ganga Stadium for effective crowd control.
To facilitate devotees, 21 parking areas with colour-coded routes have been earmarked, supported by 24x7 shuttle services including 100 e-rickshaws and 50 mini-buses. QR-code based information systems will guide pilgrims to shuttle services, parking points, hospitals, and other essential facilities.
Special DGP Arpit Shukla urged all personnel to adopt a humble and dedicated approach towards the sangat, ensuring that the festival reflects the spirit of peace and devotion.
Hola Mohalla, celebrated on the holy land of Sri Anandpur Sahib, symbolizes the Chardhikala spirit of Punjabis and the Sikh community, drawing massive participation from devotees worldwide.
