LIVE: Amit Shah arrives at BJP ‘Badlav Rally’ in Moga wearing saffron turban

Moga (Punjab), March 14, 2026: Ahead of the Punjab Assembly Elections 2027, the Bharatiya Janata Party held a “Badlav Rally” in Moga, where Amit Shah, India’s Union Home Minister, addressed party supporters on Saturday.
Shah arrived on stage wearing a saffron turban and was welcomed with loud slogans and cheers from the crowd gathered at the rally venue. Party workers and supporters greeted him enthusiastically as he prepared to deliver his address.

Before reaching the rally, Shah posted a message on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that people across Punjab are seeking political change. He criticised the current state government, alleging that the administration has failed to tackle corruption, drugs and crime in the state.
In his message, the Union Home Minister said that Punjab, known for its soldiers, farmers and hardworking people, has been pushed into serious challenges under the present leadership. He also accused the state government of functioning through “remote control” and claimed that both law and order and development have suffered.
Shah added that he was looking forward to interacting with the people of Punjab during the rally in Moga and hearing their concerns.
The rally is being seen as part of the BJP’s early efforts to expand its political base in Punjab ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. Party leaders say the campaign will focus on governance, development and security issues affecting the sta
