Four trains to be regulated, two short-terminated amid FOB work at Phagwara
Ferozepur, September 30, 2026: Due to four Power and Traffic Blocks for launching a 12-metre-wide Foot Over Bridge (FOB) for Divyang passengers at Phagwara Junction yard on the Sanahwal–Amritsar section under Firozpur Division, several trains will be regulated, short-terminated, short-originated and diverted during October 2026.
According to the railway authorities, train number 22429 Delhi Junction–Pathankot will be regulated by 40 minutes in Firozpur Division from October 5 to 7, covering three trips. Train number 11057 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus–Amritsar will also be regulated by 40 minutes in Firozepur Division from October 3 to 5, covering three trips.
Similarly, train number 14623 Varanasi–Chheharta will be regulated by 40 minutes in Firozpur Division on October 5, while train number 12549 Durg–Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan train will be regulated by 40 minutes on October 6. Both trains will have one affected trip each.
Train number 12497 New Delhi–Amritsar will be short-terminated at Ludhiana Junction from October 5 to 7, affecting three trips. In the return direction, train number 12498 Amritsar–New Delhi will short-originate from Ludhiana Junction during the same period, also affecting three trips.
Besides, train number 22479 New Delhi–Lohian Khas Junction will be diverted on October 6 and 7. The train will run via Ludhiana Junction–Phillaur Junction–Nakodar Junction–Lohian Khas Junction instead of its existing route. It will skip stoppages at Jalandhar City, Kapurthala and Sultanpur Lodi during the affected trips.
