Chandigarh, October 7, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab today held widespread protests across the state against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. During the protests, BJP leaders and workers gathered at 36 locations across Punjab and staged effigy-burning demonstrations.
The protests were held under the leadership of BJP Punjab State President Kewal Singh Dhillon and the party’s senior leadership. BJP leaders, office-bearers and workers participated in large numbers across various districts and expressed their protest against the government.
BJP leaders alleged that the Chief Minister’s Office has become a hub of corruption and that the Aam Aadmi Party has pushed Punjab into a quagmire of corruption.
They further alleged that now, if a CBI investigation has been initiated pursuant to the High Court’s orders, the Chief Minister and the AAP leadership are attempting to defame the BJP.
