Canada: BC Minister Jagrup Brar’s daughter Noor Brar graduates with Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from UBC Medical School

Vancouver (Canada), May 25, 2026 —British Columbia Minister Jagrup Brar and his family are receiving congratulations from across the Punjabi community after his daughter, Noor Brar, graduated from the University of British Columbia medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
Sharing the proud moment on Facebook, Brar wrote that his “heart is overflowing with pride and gratitude” as his daughter achieved a major milestone after years of dedication and hard work.
“You've dreamed big, worked tirelessly, and achieved something incredible. We couldn't be prouder to call you our daughter,” he wrote while congratulating Dr. Noor Brar on her achievement.

Brar further said that Noor’s journey was only beginning and expressed confidence that she would touch countless lives with her “healing hands and kindness.”
Jagrup Brar currently serves as MLA for Surrey-Fleetwood and is the Minister of Mining and Critical Minerals in British Columbia. A prominent Punjab-origin political leader in Canada, Brar has long been associated with community service and public welfare initiatives.
