Health department organizes medical camps at village Laluwala, Jogewala and Jamaliwala
Ferozepur, August 25, 2019: The Health Department, Ferozepur today organized medical camps at village Laluwala, Jogewala and Jamaliwala near Makhu so as to save the people of flood-hit villages from water borne diseases and administer medication promptly.

The Civil Surgeon Ferozepur Hari Narayan visited the affected areas to oversee the progress of medical aid being provided to the affected people. He divulged that 16 medical teams have been deputed in the villages which have so far examined 500 people.
The Civil Surgeon also visited the medical camps organizing by mobile medical teams at village Laluwala, Jogiwala and Jamaliwala and took stock of the Medical facilities as well as medication being provided to the patients. He also took feedback from the patients and said that most of the people visiting the camps for treatment suffer from skin infection owing to contaminated water and such people have been administered medicines on the spot.
Hari Narayan then visited the village Laluwala, Jogewala and Jamaliwala near Makhu town and expressed his satisfaction with the relief work being done by the medical teams. Divulging further, Mr. Narayan said that as many as around 500 patients have been attended by these mobile medical teams besides administering on spot drugs to the needy people.
It is worth mentioning that 20 relief camps have been set up in the entire Ferozepur District for attending to the people of flood-ravaged villages where they are being provided with accommodation, food items and medical facilities. The Civil Surgeon also added that until now, more than 600 people have been rescued from the marooned villages and they have been taken to the relief camps for the purpose of providing them with food as well as medical assistance. Apart from this, the mobile boat teams are visiting the marooned villages and providing food items as well as medical aid to the people.
