Langah booked under section 295-A of IPC for hurting Sikh sentiments
Gurdaspur, October 06, 2017: Gurdaspur police have also booked former Akali minister Sucha Singh Langah under section 295 A of the Indian Penal Code for hurting Sikh sentiments.
The case has been registered on the complaint of a delegation of Sikhs which met the SSP Gurdaspur led by SGPC member Amrik Singh Shahpur, who referred to an obscene video viral on Social media.
SSP Harcharan Singh Bhullar told babushahi.com that the delegation presented a copy of Sikh Rehat Maryada (code of conduct) to prove that Langah violated the Maryada as an Amritdhari (Baptized) Sikh.
The SSP said that he had marked the inquiry to DSP Gurbans Singh Bains and the case has been registered on his report. The case has been assigned to the SHO City Police Station for further investigation.
Langah has already been arrested on the allegations of rape and is in police custody till October 9, 2017.
