Anand Giri arrested by Sydney Police

An self-proclaimed Indian swami was arrested early yesterday morning by Sydney Police on alleged charges of indecently assaulting two Sydney women.
The spiritual leader,’Anand Giri, 38, was scheduled to return to India today after a six week tour teaching spiritual discourses and yoga, but was arrested just after 12.35am on Sunday morning and remanded in custody.
He was denied bale by the duty Magistrate and was taken into custody where he will remain until his court appearance on June 26.
According to Nine News, Giri was taken to Sydney's Riverstone Police Station and charged with two counts of committing an act of indecency with two women separately who invited him into their home for prayers.
