Breaking: Income-tax Rules, 2026 notified; To come into effect from April 1

New Delhi, March 20: The government has notified the Income-tax Rules, 2026, publishing them in the Gazette of India. Issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes under the Finance Ministry, the new rules will come into force from April 1, 2026.
The notification introduces updated provisions and definitions under the Income-tax framework, aimed at streamlining tax compliance and administration.
