MP Satnam Singh Sandhu Greets Muslim Community on Eid-ul-Fitr, Wishes for Peace, Progress & Happiness in Everyone's Lives on This Festival

Chandigarh, March 20, 2026: A delegation of the Indian Minorities Federation (IMF) led by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and IMF Convenor Satnam Singh Sandhu joined the Iftar party at Jama Masjid in Sector 20 Chandigarh along with members of Muslim community who had gathered in large numbers on the final evening of Ramadan for breaking their roza (fast) and offer special prayers ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday, marking end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, also known as Ramzan.
Participating in an Iftar gathering to foster communal harmony and solidarity with Muslim community, MP Satnam Singh Sandhu extended his best wishes to the members of the Muslim community.

“Eid Mubarak to all countrymen, especially to our Muslim brothers and sisters on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr which strengthens brotherhood and gives the message of adopting compassion and charity. Let these Eid celebrations usher in an era of prosperity and amity for all. I wish that this festival brings peace, prosperity and happiness in everyone's life and strengthens the spirit of moving forward on the path of goodness in everyone's hearts,” he said.
On the occasion, members of Muslim community hailed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for providing humanitarian aid to Iranians affected by the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel and United States.
They said under PM Modi’s leadership, India has already delivered its first consignment of medical assistance to Iran which is a great humanitarian gesture from India during the escalating regional tensions.
Members of Muslim Community said by sending consignment of medical assistance to the people of Iran, the Modi government has again shown its commitment to humanity beyond borders. They said under the leadership of PM Modi, India has always stood with every nation hit by a crisis or disaster.
They said in past 11 years, India has always been among the first to extend a helping hand to other countries which underscores the visionary leadership of PM Modi for providing relief assistance amid crisis.

Members of Muslim community said PM Modi is making contributions towards peace and stability in the on-going conflict by engaging with the all concerned nations in the Gulf region for de-escalation and the early restoration of peace and stability in West Asia through dialogue and diplomacy.
Lauding PM Modi for pro-actively taking up the security of 10 million Indian nationals living in West Asia with the respective governments in the region, they also appreciated the government efforts in facilitating the safe return of Indian nationals stranded due to the ongoing tensions.
