PAU Food Technology graduates clear UPSC (IEDS)

Ludhiana (Punjab), May 13, 2025: In a proud moment for Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), two of its graduates Sourav Kumar (rank 16) and Harjinder Singh (rank 17) have successfully cleared the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Recruitment Test for the Indian Enterprise Development Services (IEDS) and have been appointed as Assistant Directors under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
Both alumni completed their B. Tech in Food Technology from PAU in the years 2021 and 2022. Their success in one of the most competitive recruitment examinations in the country stands as a testament to their hard work, determination, and the strong academic foundation provided by PAU.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU and Dr Charanjit Singh Aulakh, Dean, College of Agriculture, congratulated the students for their achievements and wished them continued success in their professional journey.
Dr Savita Sharma, Head, Department of Food Science and Technology, PAU, congratulated the achievers and expressed her appreciation for the faculty members whose dedicated guidance, mentorship, and commitment have been instrumental in shaping the students’ success. “PAU students have consistently distinguished themselves at the national level and will continue to uphold the same dedicationand excellence in their future endeavors,” she said.
