Breaking: Punjab CM Mann tables confidence motion in Assembly

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday moved a confidence motion in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, seeking to reaffirm the mandate and strength of his government in the House.
The motion was formally seconded by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema. The proceedings saw the absence of legislators from major opposition parties, including the Congress, BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal, during the introduction of the motion.
According to official Assembly records, all 94 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, including the Deputy Speaker, were present in the House at the time the motion was moved. The Speaker is not counted among voting members.
