Ferozepur Rail Division sets record with 13 Freight Trains loaded in single day

Ferozepur, April 30, 2026: The Ferozepur Division of Indian Railways has achieved a significant milestone by loading a record 13 freight trains in a single day, marking a new benchmark in its operational history.
The division continues to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted supply of food grains from Punjab to various parts of the country. Keeping in view the requirements of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and other associated agencies, the division has been prioritising the availability of freight trains to meet demand efficiently.
Officials stated that every effort is being made to ensure safe loading, swift transportation, and seamless operations of food grain consignments. Through efficient management, freight trains are being dispatched and delivered to their destinations safely and on time.
On April 30, 2026, the division successfully loaded a total of 562 wagons across 13 freight trains in a single day, setting a new record. The loading operations were carried out at multiple railway stations, including Khasa, Jandiala, Tarn Taran, Patti, Kartarpur, Batala, Nakodar, Banga, Gangsar Jaito, Nurmahal, Nawanshahr Doaba, Ajitwal, and Kotkapura. These trains, loaded with wheat and rice by the Food Corporation of India, were dispatched to various destinations across the country.
Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar stated that the Ferozepur Division is playing a vital role in maintaining the country’s food supply chain and remains committed to further strengthening its logistics efficiency.
