Breaking: Two gangsters from Punjab held at Mumbai Airport

Mumbai (Maharashtra), May 27, 2026: Two wanted gangsters from Punjab were apprehended at the Mumbai Airport by Mumbai Police in a coordinated operation, officials said.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Jaswant Singh Jassa and Karan Kira, both of whom were reportedly on the radar of the Punjab Police for serious criminal cases.
According to sources, Jaswant Singh Jassa is believed to have links with the Davinder Bambiha gang, a known organised criminal network active in parts of North India. Meanwhile, Karan Kira is said to be wanted in connection with the murder case of an Akali councillor, making him a high-priority suspect for law enforcement agencies.
The arrests were made at Mumbai airport, after which local authorities detained both suspects and initiated formal procedures.
Punjab Police teams are expected to travel to Mumbai soon to complete the necessary legal formalities and bring the accused back to Punjab for further investigation.
