  Chandigarh, August 3, 2026: Contractual workers of PRTC and PUNBUS are on strike today resulting in government buses off the roads today. Bus services were affected heavily as only regular employees were plying buses and only a few buses are plying on the roads. This strike call is for three days.
  
  Meanwhile Finance Minister Harpal Cheema will meet striking employees in Chandigarh today.
