New Delhi, July 19, 2026: Social media platform Facebook experienced a widespread outage on Sunday, leaving millions of users across India unable to access the service.
Users began reporting intermittent issues in the morning, but by the afternoon, both the Facebook website and mobile application were facing major disruptions.
Many users reported being unable to log into their accounts, while others said the website failed to load altogether. The mobile app also displayed error messages, with news feeds failing to refresh and several users being automatically logged out of their accounts.
The outage affected users across multiple regions, sparking a flood of complaints on other social media platforms.
As of the latest reports, Meta, Facebook's parent company, had not issued an official statement explaining the cause of the disruption or indicating when services would be fully restored.
