IAS officer Ajit Kumar’s tenure as MyGov CEO extended

New Delhi, August 24, 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a six-month extension of the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MyGov assigned to senior IAS officer Ajit Kumar.
Kumar, a 2006-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on August 20, 2026, the extension has been granted with retrospective effect from May 24, 2026. He will continue to hold the additional charge until the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
