Ferozepur, December 5, 2024: Punjab’s Minister for Power and Public Works, Harbhajan Singh, met with newly elected village sarpanches and panches during a special event in Mamdot. Ferozepur Rural MLA Rajnish Kumar Dahiya also attended the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Dahiya welcomed the Cabinet Minister and the AAP team, stating that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is committed to rejuvenating the state into a "Rangla Punjab." He highlighted the Aam Aadmi Party's overwhelming success in the rural panchayat elections, winning 222 out of 234 seats, attributing the victory to the party's transparent and people-friendly policies.
MLA Dahiya requested upgrading the 66 KV power station in Mamdot to 132 KV, which the Minister promised to address promptly. He also presented other development-related demands, which the Minister positively received.
Congratulating the newly elected representatives, Harbhajan Singh encouraged them to prioritize village development by working collaboratively and transcending political and ideological differences. He emphasized that no discrimination or favoritism would be tolerated, ensuring equitable progress for all.
The Minister assured that there would be no shortage of funds for development projects. He urged the sarpanches and panches to actively involve village residents in planning and implementing initiatives to ensure comprehensive development.
Echoing the vision of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Minister said, “When we unite as one family, we can achieve the dream of a prosperous and vibrant Punjab. The government is steadfast in its commitment to fulfilling this goal.”
The event was attended by Bhupinder Kaur, district head of AAP, along with party leaders Robby Sandhu, Nirvair Singh Sindhi, and a significant number of sarpanches, panches, and AAP workers.
