Dr. Dhillon wins 3 Gold Medals in National Senior Citizen Championship held in Hyderabad
Ferozepur, December 12, 2024: Dr. Gurinderjit Singh Dhillon, President of the District Master Athletics Association, Ferozepur, brought pride to the region by winning three gold medals at the 6th National Senior Citizen Open Championship held in Hyderabad. Competing in the 70+ age category, Dr. Dhillon secured first place in the Hammer Throw, Shot Put, and Javelin Throw events. He also received a special honor for his remarkable achievements.
The championship witnessed the participation of athletes from across the country in various track events (including all running events), field events (such as shot put, javelin throw, discus throw, and hammer throw), and jumps (long jump, high jump, triple jump, and pole vault). Dr. Dhillon's stellar performance continues his exceptional streak, having won nine gold medals in five state-level competitions recently.
Dr. Dhillon's achievements have elevated Punjab's prestige and brought accolades to Ferozepur and the District Master Athletics Association. To celebrate his success, the association extended warm congratulations to him. His achievements inspire athletes of all ages and reaffirm the spirit of perseverance and dedication in the senior citizen community.
