MP Sanjeev Arora wins praise for immediate solutions during interaction with Ludhiana Furniture Association

Ludhiana (Punjab), April 30, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora interacted with the office-bearers of the Ludhiana Furniture Association (Bharat Nagar Chowk), during which he assured prompt redressal of most of the issues raised by the members.
The association’s President Jagtar Singh, Vice President Charanjit Singh (Channa), Chairman Rajinder Singh (Hira), Chief Advisor Paul Khurana, and others expressed gratitude to Arora for taking the time to listen to their grievances and addressing many of them on the spot. They appreciated his “people-friendly” approach and commitment to resolving public concerns promptly.
Key issues highlighted during the meeting included inadequate vehicle parking, frequent traffic jams, and the lack of public toilets.
Arora announced that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will construct 700 parking slots near the elevated road, including the Bharat Nagar Chowk area.
He informed that the tender for the project will be opened on May 25 and expressed hope that construction will commence soon after allotment.He emphasised that this is the first time such parking infrastructure is being built by NHAI on a pilot basis, and it will meet European standards.
Regarding the demand for public toilets, Arora stated that the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana (MCL) has already approved the proposal, and toilets will be constructed near ESI Hospital in the near future.He also assured the members that he would look into easing vehicular congestion in the area.
During the interaction, Arora also presented a report card of his three-year tenure, listing key developmental projects such as the Halwara Airport, elevated road, four bridges along the Sidhwan Canal, and the upgradation of ESI and Civil Hospitals.
He highlighted that these initiatives have either been completed or are close to completion due to his consistent efforts as an MP.
The association members pledged full support to Arora in the upcoming bypoll for the Ludhiana (West) assembly seat, where he is contesting as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate.
