Chandigarh, September 29, 2025 – Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema announced that the Vidhan Sabha has passed six important bills, marking a historic step toward economic growth and industrial development in the state.

- Right to Business Act

- Projects will be automatically approved if no response is received within 45 days.

- Punjab Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill

Minister Cheema emphasized that if industries do not receive approvals within 45 days, the projects will automatically be deemed approved. While the bills received overwhelming support, the Congress party opposed the Right to Business Act, with Cheema stating that the party is against creating a conducive industrial environment in Punjab.
