Edu Deptt hosts 11-Block Camp: 267 specially-abled children identified for assistive support

Ferozepur, September 29, 2025: An extensive assessment camp for specially-abled children was organised across 11 blocks of Ferozepur district under the guidance of District Education Officer (Elementary) Sunita Rani and Deputy District Education Officer Komal Arora. The initiative was jointly conducted by the School Education Department and the District Education Office.
A team of expert doctors from ALIMCO examined nearly 350 children, identifying around 267 children across various disability categories. These children will receive the required assistive equipment during an upcoming distribution camp.
District Education Officer (Elementary) Sunita Rani emphasised that specially-abled children are an integral part of society. She highlighted the Punjab School Education Department’s ongoing efforts to raise its standard of living and ensure its access to education.
On this occasion, District Education Office officials, including Sarabjit Singh (APC General), Sukhdev Singh (APC Finance), Gurbachan Singh (DIET), Krishan Mohan Chaubey (DSE), as well as Block Primary Education Officers and IERTs from all blocks, were present.
