Gurugram, October 7, 2025 — A sudden spell of heavy rain on Tuesday afternoon changed Gurugram’s weather dramatically, leading to severe waterlogging in several parts of the city and disrupting traffic flow.
A massive traffic jam stretched nearly 8 kilometers from Hero Honda Chowk to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza, as vehicles crawled through flooded stretches of the highway and service lanes. Narsinghpur and nearby areas also faced heavy waterlogging, further affecting movement.
The downpour began around 3:30 PM and continued intermittently for about half an hour. The intense rainfall caused dark skies in the afternoon and led to a noticeable drop in temperature, bringing some relief from the recent heat.
Agriculture experts described the rain as favorable for mustard sowing, while the Meteorological Department has forecast more rain in the next 24 hours.
