RPF Returns ₹43 Lakh, 143 kids safe under operation Amanat & Nanhe Farishte
Ferozepur, October 17, 2025: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Ferozepur Division has successfully returned nearly ₹43 lakh worth of lost property to passengers and taken strict action against offenders in trains during the current financial year from April to September. Several operations were conducted to ensure passenger safety and protect sensitive railway assets.
Under Operation Amanat, RPF recovered and returned lost property in 361 cases, amounting to ₹43,83,374. The recovered items included laptops, mobiles, bags, purses, and other valuables. In Operation Nanhe Farishte. campaign focused on locating missing, runaway, or abducted children. During this operation, 143 children were safely reunited with their families. In another Operation Jan Jagran - to raise passenger awareness about railway safety, 235 drives were conducted, covering topics such as safe travel, reporting suspicious objects or activities, avoiding unauthorized train pulling, and preventing substance abuse. Approximately 535 passengers received safety guidance, and 351 unauthorized persons were arrested and in Operation Dastak - Targeting unauthorized vendors and hawkers at railway stations, RPF took action in 235 cases and recovered fines totaling ₹48,500.
