94-yr-old Chandigarh Athlete Kirpal Singh shines at Asia Masters Championship, wins gold and silver

Chandigarh, November 18, 2025:Proving that age is no barrier to achievement, 94-year-old Chandigarh resident Kirpal Singh has won two medals at the 23rd Asia Masters Athletic Championship 2025.
Singh clinched a gold medal in the 5000m race walk and a silver medal in the 100m race, showcasing extraordinary endurance and spirit at the international event held from November 5 to 9.
Despite beginning his athletic journey only at the age of 92, Kirpal Singh has already secured 12 medals at national events and three medals at international championships. His latest victory adds another remarkable chapter to his inspiring story.
Last year, he won a gold medal at the Masters Championship held in Kuala Lumpur — and this year, he continues to make India proud with yet another outstanding performance.
