Reinforcing Punjab’s Message of Respect and Cultural Harmony
Punjab Governor unveils poster for 21st MLBF All India Mushaira in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, November 21, 2025: In a moment enriched with grace, emotion, and cultural pride, the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, unveiled the poster of the much-anticipated 21st MLB All India Mushaira—the flagship literary celebration of the Mohan Lal Bhaskar Foundation (MLBF)—on Thursday.
The unveiling in presence of Dr.Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar, general secretary Mohan Lal Bhaskar Foundation, went far beyond a routine formal event; it symbolised a reaffirmation of Punjab’s timeless values of respect, harmony, and collective cultural identity.
Sharing insights about the upcoming celebration, Dr. S. N. Rudra, Vice President of the MLBF, said that the Foundation annually commemorates the birth anniversary of the late Mohan Lal Bhaskar through the Mohan Lal Art & Theatre Festival. “Today’s poster launch carries forward a legacy rooted not merely in celebration, but in emotion—our conviction that elders are the guiding light of society, and that respecting them is the soul of our culture,” Dr. Rudra said with deep sentiment.
He highlighted that the Mushaira has evolved into an emotional anchor for the people of Ferozepur—an evening where poetry meets purpose and where lyrical expression becomes a medium of social reflection. “Our guiding motto has always been ‘Respect Elders.’ Every programme we curate is woven around this simple yet transformative message,” he added.
The 21st edition of the Mushaira is scheduled for November 29, 2025 (Saturday) at Vivekananda World School, Ferozepur. The event will feature some of the most distinguished voices of Urdu poetry, including Janab Mehshar Afridi, Janab M. F. Farooqui, Janab Rabrez Rana, Mohtarma Himanshi Babra, Janab Charag Sharma, Janab Amardeep Singh, Janab Ibrahim Zeeshan, and Janab Rajesh Mohan. Their soulful verses are expected to touch hearts and rekindle the timeless elegance of Urdu adab.
It is pertinent to mention that the Mohan Lal Bhaskar Foundation—based in the historically rich border district of Ferozepur—is more than an organisation; it is an emotional movement. Rooted in the philosophy of honouring parents, uplifting elders, and preserving cultural heritage, MLBF continues to remind society that progress must never come at the cost of dignity.
Ferozepur, known for its resilience, sacrifice, and deep cultural roots, provides the perfect setting for this mission. The Foundation’s message—that the wisdom of elders is society’s greatest treasure—finds natural acceptance here.
Among its most heartfelt initiatives is the annual Elders’ Day Celebration, where young people bow in respect and elders bless with emotion, creating a powerful portrait of intergenerational bonding.
Beyond cultural enrichment, MLBF actively promotes community service. Through collaborations with institutions like Vivekananda World School, it has organised free eye-checkup camps and welfare programmes, proving that compassion must be practiced, not merely preached.
In an era where rapid modernisation often strains traditional values, the Mohan Lal Bhaskar Foundation stands as a beacon—strengthening the emotional and ethical fabric of society. With every Mushaira and every initiative, it continues to touch hearts, preserve heritage, and inspire generations.
