Civil Surgeon conducts surprise inspection of Aam Aadmi Clinics in Ferozepur; reviews health facilities
Ferozepur, January 2, 2026: In a bid to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare, Civil Surgeon Dr Rajeev Parashar conducted surprise inspections at Aam Aadmi Clinics located in Basti Tankan Wali, Ferozepur Cantt, and Mallwal village. The visit was aimed at reviewing the medical facilities being provided to the general public.
During the inspection, Dr Parashar interacted with patients to gather firsthand feedback and suggestions for further improving the clinics' services. He inspected various sections of the facilities, including the OPD services, availability of free medicines, general cleanliness, and the condition of medical equipment. He stated that the primary objective of these visits is to monitor the operational efficiency and ensure that health services are reaching the public effectively.
Dr Parashar highlighted that the Aam Aadmi Clinics established across the district have proven to be a "boon" for the residents by providing high-quality medical care. He emphasised that all services—including consultations, treatments, distribution of medicines, and various clinical tests—are provided entirely free of charge. Furthermore, specialised health services for pregnant women are also being prioritised at these centres.
The Civil Surgeon issued strict instructions to the health officials to ensure that patients, especially the elderly, do not face any inconvenience and are given priority during check-ups. He urged the medical staff to perform their duties with honesty and dedication to further enhance the healthcare experience.
Addressing maternal health, Dr Parashar informed the public that specialist gynaecologists are available at the Civil Hospital, Ferozepur, to ensure hassle-free deliveries. He made a fervent appeal to the public to avoid home deliveries, as they pose a significant risk to the lives of both the mother and the child.
Accompanied by Mass Media Officer Sanjeev Sharma and Deputy Mass Media Officer Ankush Bhandari, the Civil Surgeon reaffirmed the department's commitment to providing safe and accessible healthcare to all.
