Haryana Sikh Judicial Commission summons HSGMC office bearers, Chief Secretary on January 16

Chandigarh, January 15, 2026: Haryana Sikh Judicial Commission has summoned Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC) office bearers and Chief Secretary on January 16 on issue of passing of General budget in General House meeting.
HSGMC Senior Vice President Gurmeet Singh had filed a petition with the commission seeking a stay on use of funds by HSGMC and Institutions under it as no valid budget has been passed this year. He also demanded production of records of HSGMC General house meeting and also sought directions to protest locations of HSGMC members on January 7 and 8.
It is worth mentioning here that a controversy is going on between Gurmeet Singh Daduwal and HSGMC President Jagdish Singh Jhinda over claims of majority of members with them. Daduwal has alleged that Jhinda has lost majority and was acting illegally whereas Jhinda has dismissed these claims and has claimed that he has majority of members with him and was working according to rules and norms.
