Ferozepur: Two arrested with 4.013 kg heroin: DGP

Chandigarh, January 15, 2026: DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav in a tweet disclosed that in an Intelligence led operation Ferozepur Police busted a cross-border drug smuggling module and arrested two accused and recovered 4.013 kg heroin.
He said that preliminary investigation revealed that the recovered consignment was smuggled from Pakistan. Backward linkages have been established, pointing towards strong cross-border connections behind the operation.
An FIR has been registered at PS Mamdot, Ferozepur. Further investigation is underway.
