Punjab Govt opens 24/7 helpline as Punjabis stranded in Middle East conflict

Chandigarh, March 2, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday released emergency helpline numbers for Punjabis stranded in Arab countries amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Stating that several Punjabis are facing difficulties due to the prevailing situation, the Chief Minister urged affected individuals or their families in Punjab to immediately contact the state’s NRI Wing.
Mann said he is in touch with the Ministry of External Affairs and assured that the Punjab government is committed to providing all necessary assistance.

The state government said it will coordinate with central authorities to facilitate support for stranded Punjabis.
