Chandigarh, April 4, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the opposition, accusing it of spreading misinformation and misleading the public, while asserting that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or domestic cooking gas in the state.
Addressing the Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally in Safidon, Jind, Saini said the opposition lacks both policy and vision and is resorting to “lies and confusion” as its only political strategy.
“When real development takes place, those indulging in politics of falsehood feel uncomfortable,” he said, adding that people are now aware and firmly backing development-oriented governance.
The Chief Minister assured citizens that adequate stock of fuel and LPG is available across Haryana and urged them not to fall prey to rumours. He said strict action is being taken against black marketing, with several FIRs already registered.
Highlighting development initiatives, Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 10 projects worth ₹49.73 crore in Safidon. He said the region, once struggling for basic amenities, has witnessed significant transformation in recent years, with improved roads, irrigation facilities and transparent employment opportunities.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” is guiding Haryana’s growth, adding that the state government is working with a “Nation First” approach.
Saini also outlined achievements in employment, stating that 36,000 युवाओं were given government jobs in the past year without corruption, taking the total to 1.8 lakh over the last 11.5 years. He highlighted welfare schemes for farmers, women and the poor, including crop procurement at MSP and direct benefit transfers.
Targeting previous governments, he said earlier regimes promoted dynastic politics and left pending dues for farmers, which were later cleared by the present administration. He added that new initiatives like Haryana Agro Discom and natural farming clusters will further boost rural development.
Calling on citizens to reject divisive politics, Saini said, “Today’s youth wants jobs, opportunities and development—not caste or regionalism,” urging people to stand against forces trying to push Haryana backward.
State BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli also addressed the gathering, praising the government’s development agenda and expressing confidence that key demands of the Safidon region will soon be fulfilled.
